Early in Career

The Thriving from the Start network is run by early in career (EIC) employees, for EIC employees. Overseen by Corporate Mental Health Alliance Australia (CMHAA), the network aims to provide a community for people who are early in their careers to connect, share and learn, through events and other channels, with like minded others who are passionate about improving mental health in the workplace.

With recent research undertaken by CMHAA identifying the need for more awareness and training on practical workplace skills for early in career employees, we held a discussion on Imposter Syndrome.
Hosted by a member of CMHAA’s EIC Committee, Eleanor Schwager, and featuring two outstanding speakers, Hugh Kearns (Flinders University) and Tiffany Wright (Microsoft Australia) they reflected on both lived experience and leading research to help us better understand imposter syndrome, why it happens and strategies to move past it.
